The Institute of European History (IEG) awards 2 research fellowships for international postdocs for a research stay in Mainz from January 2011. The proposed projects should require a research stay in Mainz for at least 6 months. Funding is € 1.600/month. The fellowships are tailored to young researchers who want to embark upon a new research project after the completion of their PhD. At the IEG they can prepare the ground for their future academic career as independant senior researchers.
