Història de la salut pública a Barcelona

L'Agència de Salut Pública de Barcelona ha digitalitzat una sèrie de publicacions de fa 30 anys, esgotades, per iniciar una secció d'història en el seu web. Inicialment hi ha dues publicacions en les que vaig intervenir directament, sobre la història del laboratori municipal de Barcelona (1988) i sobre la història de l'Institut Municipal de la Salut (1991). http://www.aspb.cat/quefem/documents.htm

STUDIES IN HISTORY AND PHILOSOPHY OF BIOLOGICAL AND BIOMEDICAL SCIENCES ARTICLE PRIZE

STUDIES IN HISTORY AND PHILOSOPHY OF BIOLOGICAL AND BIOMEDICAL SCIENCES ARTICLE PRIZE Beginning in 2015, this prize will be awarded biennially for the best article published in the journal Studies in History and Philosophy of Biological and Biomedical Sciences during the previous two years by an early career scholar. The prize, which is supported by Elsevier, is intended for those who, at the time of the article's publication, were doctoral students, or were within five years of being awarded their doctorates. Articles published in 2013 and 2014 will be eligible for the 2015 Prize. CFP: Urban Knowledge

Urban History Group 2015 University of Wolverhampton, 26-27 March Urban Knowledge This conference seeks to engage with a number of questions concerning the relationship between the city and knowledge. How is knowledge in, and of, the city formed and expressed? How is this knowledge used to manage and inform urban change? What constitutes ‘expert’ knowledge? How is knowledge contested between and within interest groups? The conference has three main areas for enquiry: 1. Knowledge in the City: This strand seeks to engage with the development of urban spaces and institutions for knowledge exchange. Suggestions for topics include: -           How were cities used as places to disseminate knowledge through, for example, itinerant lecturers, print culture, scientific meetings and learned societies?; -           Libraries, reading rooms, museums, and halls as spaces that condition knowledge; -           The development of medical, scientific and techn
