Additional Research Postgraduate Funding Opportunities in Philosophy/HPS at Leeds 2014/15

The University of Leeds has recently announced a large number of Anniversary Research Scholarships for 2014 and 2015 entry.   To celebrate the University's 110th anniversary, a total of 110 new research scholarships will be available for each of these two years of entry.   This has been made possible by an additional investment of more than £10m, supported by the University. Outstanding scholars from any discipline are invited to apply for the funding. HSS Levinson Prize Deadline Extended to May 1

The deadline for nominations for the History of Science Society's Levinson Prize for outstanding book in the history of the life sciences and natural history has been extended to May 1st, 2014. Nominations can be made online at http://www.hssweb.org/nominations/ . Nominators do not need to be members of the HSS. The Suzanne J. Levinson Prize is to be awarded biennially for a book in the history of the life sciences and natural history. For 2014, the book must have been written in the previous 4 years to be eligible, meaning books written in 2013, 2012, 2011, and 2010 can be nominated. In establishing the prize, Mark Levinson honors his wife Suzanne J. Levinson, who was especially interested in the history of evolutionary theory, microbiology, and botany.
