El Instituto Geológico y Minero de España ha inaugurado la exposición “Hispaniae Geologica Chartographia. La representación geológica de España a través de la Historia” en la sala de exposiciones Leonor de Plantagenet del Alcázar de Segovia. Se podrá visitar hasta el 31 de diciembre.  La exposición reúne una selección de mapas que reflejan la evolución de la cartografía geológica en España, que responde al avance del conocimiento científico y cultural del país, así como a las inquietudes y necesidades de la sociedad. Cada uno de los 40 mapas geológicos seleccionados supuso un hito fundamental en su momento, bien por las técnicas de representación empleadas, por la especialidad reflejada o por la manera de obtener la información. Junto a ellos se exponen también objetos que utilizaron los geólogos para la confección de los mismos. The Southern Association for the History of Medicine and Science (SAHMS) will hold its sixteenth annual meeting on March 17-19, 2016, at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas School of Law.  SAHMS welcomes papers for this meeting that discuss the history of medicine and science.  This is broadly construed to encompass all fields and subfields historical, literary, anthropological, philosophical and sociological related to the historical understanding of any aspect of medicine, health care, and science, as well as closely related topics, including, race, disabilities, sustainability, environment, technology and gender studies. Participants may propose individual papers or panels of several papers on a particular theme.   Each presenter is limited to 20 minutes, with additional time for questions and discussion when possible.
