Dynamis  és una publicació bianual formada per un volum d'extensió aproximada de 450 pàgines. Accepta treballs originals (articles, notes o documents) d'història de la medicina i de la salut o història de les ciències, escrits en qualsevol idioma de l'àmbit de la Unió Europea. CfP: Coloquio internacional: Plague and plagues. Transdisciplinary and diachronic perspectives on the history of the plague

Coloquio internacional 19-21 de mayo 2022 Mallorca (España) El Departamento de Ciencias Históricas y Teoría de las Artes, el Departamento de Enfermería y Fisioterapia, y el Grupo de Investigación de Historia de la Salud de la Universitat de les Illes Balears, organiza conjuntamente con la red IN-HOPPE -International Network -Historical and osteoarchaeological Past Populations Exploration- y la Asociación de Demografía Histórica (ADEH), un coloquio internacional, transdisciplinario y diacrónico sobre la historia de la peste desde la perspectiva de los avances recientes en historia, arqueología, epidemiología y biología molecular. La peste es una infección, a menudo irreversible, debida a la bacteria Yersinia pestis.  Esta bacteria afecta a las poblaciones humanas y sus episodios a veces muy violentos han generado uno de los más temidos azotes en la Historia.  El XVIII Congreso de la Sociedad Española de Historia de la Medicina (SEHM) se celebrará, tras su aplazamiento debido a la pandemia, en Valencia durante los días 15, 16 y 17 de junio de 2022 en el Palau de Cerveró, sede del Instituto Interuniversitario López Piñero-UV, y en el Col·legi Major Rector Peset. Recordamos que planteamos como objetivo principal reflexionar desde una perspectiva histórica sobre las relaciones entre la medicina y otras disciplinas científicas y la ley. Aunque partimos de la estructura que quedó establecida con las propuestas que fueron recibidas, ahora está abierta de nuevo la posibilidad de participación de los socios y socias, así como de los historiadores e historiadoras de la medicina, la ciencia, la técnica y disciplinas afines, que en su momento no enviaron su contribución (comunicaciones, mesas temáticas o pósteres). Novedad bibliográfica: Una historia del Museo Nacional de Ciencias Naturales

 Autoría: Galera Gómez, Andrés, Martín Albaladejo, Carolina, Peña de Camus Sáez, Soraya 250 años han trascurrido desde que Carlos III fundó el Real Gabinete de Historia Natural, primer nombre con el que nació el que ahora conocemos como Museo Nacional de Ciencias Naturales (CSIC). Una institución que durante largo tiempo ha marcado el desarrollo de los estudios sobre ciencias naturales en España. El Gabinete de Historia Natural se abrió en Madrid en 1771 en la calle Alcalá. A finales del siglo XIX se trasladó, de forma urgente y desusada, al Palacio de Bibliotecas y Museos del Paseo de Recoletos, donde sobrevivió hasta principios del siglo XX cuando se trasladó al Palacio de la Industria y de las Artes en el Paseo de la Castellana. Este libro cuenta, por primera vez, la historia de los profesores y las colecciones que compusieron la historia natural española de los invertebrados no insectos, con especial referencia a los moluscos. Call for thematic dossier: HoST – Journal of History of Science and Technology | December 2023

  HoST - Journal of History of Science and Technology  is an open access, on-line peer-reviewed international journal devoted to the History of Science and Technology, published in English by a group of Portuguese research institutions and De Gruyter/Sciendo. HoST encourages submissions of original historical research exploring the cultural, social and political dimensions of science, technology, and medicine (STM), both from a local and a global perspective. Past thematic issues have dealt with topics as diverse as circulation, science communication or the relation between science and politics. Future issues might deal with both established and emerging areas of scholarship.  The editors of HoST are looking for proposals for one thematic dossier to be published in 2023  (HoST volume 17, issue 2). The thematic dossier should be prepared by the guest editor(s) and include four research papers along with an introduction.  Call for applications: 6 phd grants at the doctoral programm " Transformations of science and technology since 1800: topics, processes, institutions “, Bergische Universität Wuppertal. The IZWT (Interdisziplinäres Zentrum für Wissenschafts- und Technikforschung) is seeking  six doctoral candidates  who start their employment at  April, 1st 2022  by completing a  postgraduate scholarship of six months  which is followed by  three years as research assistant  (f/m/d) at 65% of standard working hours (paygrade: E 13 TV-L). CfA: 1 doctoral position (half-time) in Philosophy of Geology at RWTH Aachen University (Germany)

We are seeking to fill a half-time doctoral position as soon as possible for Philosophy / Epistemology of Geology funded by the DFG (German Research Foundation).
