Asamblea Sociedad Española de Historia de la Medicina

Estimad@s compañer@s , El presente mensaje es para recordar que, como se comunicó a través de la lista de distribución de la SEHM, la próxima Asamblea tendrá lugar el próximo 24 de octubre en Madrid (la convocatoria se os enviará en unos días), en la que se producirá la renovación de la Junta Directiva de la sociedad. Según los estatutos de la SEHM, las candidaturas deben ser enviadas a la Secretaria de la sociedad. El plazo fijado para dicho envío es hasta el 10 de septiembre, como lo comunicó el Presidente a través de la lista de distribución. El día 24 se celebrará así mismo el Simposio de la SEHM, que, conforme a lo acordado en la Asamblea general de la sociedad del año anterior, consistirá en la presentación de libros publicados recientemente por l@s soci@s . Resultats de la 6ena Escola de Primavera 2011

La revista Endeavour acaba de publicar el monogràfic “Visual Representations of Science” firmat per Josep Simon i Alfons Zarzoso: http://www.sciencedirect.com/science/journal/01609327 Aquest volum és un dels resultats de la 6ena Escola de Primavera d’Història de la Ciència i la Divulgació, celebrada el 2011 i organitzada per la Societat Catalana d'Història de la Ciència i la Tècnica. HaPoC 2013: Registration reminder

Dear All, We want to remind you that registration for HaPoC 2013 is open: http://hapoc2013.sciencesconf.org/registration/index Note that there are three kind of conference fees: 1) the full fee for normal participants: 200 EUR 2) the reduced fee for students, PhD-students without institutional funding, unemployed: 150 EUR. (A letter of a PhD-supervisor or of scientific colleague or a declaration on honour should be provided when registering at the conference end of October.) 3) the reduced fee for ENS-card holders: 180 EUR. (The ENS-card should be presented when registering at the conference end of October.) These conferences fees are valid until /* October 15th 2013 */. After that date a majorated fee of 250 EUR will be applicable. Swiss STS Meeting, 20-22 February 2014 in Lausanne Collecting, organizing, trading big data Since the first Swiss STS Meeting in Zürich in 1999, several conferences have been organized with the Swiss Association for the Study of Science, Technology and Society (STS-CH), like the STS Summer School 2001 in Lausanne, the EASST conference 2006 in Lausanne, the Swiss STS Meeting 2008 ScienceFutures in Zurich, the Science Going Neuro Conference 2010 in Basel.
