Assistant Professor of the History of Recent Life Sciences The Department of History of Science at the UW-Madison invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track faculty position in the history of recent life sciences, extending back to the mid-twentieth century. The position begins in August 2013.. Applicants should already hold a doctorate in History of Science, Science and Technology Studies, History, or related disciplines, or they must complete the doctorate by the time of the appointment. The successful candidate will help to advance research and teaching in the historical, political, cultural, and ethical dimensions of recent life science. The successful candidate will contribute to strengthening the humanities at the UW by drawing on historical perspectives and promoting interdisciplinary synergy within the humanities in ways that engage critically with the recent life sciences.
