Call for Applications: Consortium for History of Science, Technology and Medicine Fellowships

The Consortium for History of Science, Technology and Medicine invites applications for several fellowship opportunities in the history of science, technology, or medicine. Fellows gain access to the archives and collections of Consortium member institutions, as well as seminars and programs designed to support scholarly research. Emanuel Fellowships for Independent Scholars These fellowships offer stipends between $10,000 and $30,000 to support research in archives, oral history, or other methods, travel for research, or time to complete scholarly work in any format or medium. The stipend may also be used for salary support to allow time for research and writing. Applicants must hold a Ph.D. (or equivalent) obtained at least two years before applying and must not hold a tenured or tenure-track position or be enrolled in any academic program. CfP: Mothers and Vaccines

A roundtable on mothers and childhood vaccines is being organized for the International Association of Maternal Action and Scholarship (IAMAS) conference, which will take place at Concordia University in Montreal from June 14 to June 17, 2026, with both in-person and online participation options. Scholars from all disciplines are invited to contribute. Proposals are due by November 15. CfP: 38th European Conference on Philosophy of Medicine and Health Care (Rotterdam, 25–28 August 2026)

The 2026 ESPMH conference, “The Dynamics of Medical Transformations: Society, Technology, Knowledge and Ethics,” invites philosophers, ethicists, historians, and health researchers to examine how technological and social innovations reshape medicine—transforming clinical practice while challenging moral values, epistemic frameworks, and concepts of good care. Topics include the ethical and epistemic implications of evolving technologies, social change, and crises such as AI and pandemics. Abstracts (max. 500 words) should be submitted by 1 March 2026. XXIII Jornada sobre la Història de la Ciència i l’Ensenyament “Antoni Quintana i Marí”, 2025

La Societat Catalana d’Història de la Ciència i de la Tècnica organitza la XXIII Jornada sobre la Història de la Ciència i l’Ensenyament “Antoni Quintana i Marí”, que tindrà lloc els dies 21 i 22 de novembre de 2025 a l’Institut Francesc Ribalta i a la Universitat Jaume I de Castelló de la Plana.
