Job Announcement: Professorship in History of Science, Regensburg, Germany
The Department of Philosophy, Art History, History and
Social Sciences at the University of Regensburg, Germany, seeks applications
for a Professorship in History of Science, based at the Institute
of Philosophy. The appointment
will be tenured and paid according to W2 on the German pay grade.
The successful candidate is expected to cover a wide
range of topics in both teaching and research. In teaching he/she will be
responsible for undergraduate and graduate courses, and is expected to
cooperate with philosophers, historians and scientists. In research the focus
should be on the history of the empirical natural sciences. Interdisciplinary
cooperation is expected. Teaching is expected to be in German.
Entrance qualifications are set by legal requirements.
They include a PhD, teaching experience, and additional scholarly achievements
(e.g. Habilitation or second book).
