CSHM/SCHM: Congress 2015 CSHM-ACHN call for papers
Call for papers
The Canadian Society for the History of Medicine and the Canadian Association for the History of Nursing are issuing a call for papers for their annual meeting, to be held in conjunction with the Congress for the Social Sciences and Humanities, at the University of Ottawa 30 May to June 1st. The theme of the 2015 Congress is “Capital ideas” and invites us to reflect on the power of ideas: ideas captivate our hearts and minds; ideas connect people and ignite discussions and debates; ideas create knowledge and spark discoveries. Ideas represent an invaluable currency capable of changing our lives and our world. Abstracts on other topics are also welcome.
Please submit your abstract and one-page C.V. for consideration by 15 November 2014 by e-mail to Marie-Claude Thifault: mthifaul@uottawa.ca Abstracts must not exceed 350 words. Submissions for panels are also welcome, but abstracts and one-page c.v.s for each paper in the panel are required. The Committee will notify applicants of its decision by 15 January 2015. If invited to present at the meeting, the author must undertake to provide a translation of the abstract for the bilingual program book.
