PAUL BUNGE PRIZE - History of Scientific Instruments - 2015
The German Chemical Society (Gesellschaft Deutscher Chemiker / GDCh) invites
international applications for the Paul Bunge Prize 2015, awarded by the Hans
R. Jenemann Foundation, which is administered by the German Chemical Society
and the German Bunsen Society for Physical Chemistry (Deutsche
Bunsen-Gesellschaft für Physikalische Chemie).
The prize is endowed with 7.500,- Euro and honours outstanding publications in
German, English or French on all aspects of the history of scientific
instruments.
Applications must include a curriculum vitae and a complete list of
publications. The work(s) to be considered for the prize should be submitted in
printed form. The deadline for nominations and applications is September 30,
2014.
The prize is named after Paul Bunge, the most important maker of analytical,
assay and high-performance precision balances in the second half of the 19th
century. -- The award ceremony will take place during the GDCh Chemistry Forum
in Dresden, August 30 - September 2, 2015, and the award winner is expected to
present her/his work at this occasion.
