Russian history of medicine
For those interested in the history of
medicine in Russia, the US National Library of Medicine has thousands of
historical items in Russian, and we undertook a project to catalog as many of
them as we could in the 2000s (see: http://www.nlm.nih.gov/news/russian_holdings_cataloged.html).
A good way to find them quickly in our
online catalog, http://locatorplus.gov, is
by performing a key-word search using the string HMDRUS. You will get over
5,000 results, the huge majority of them dating before 1917.
