Call for papers: Science and Conspiracy conference at CRASSH17-19 Sept 2015

We are organising a small interdisciplinary conference for later this year (17-19 September) on the theme of Science and Conspiracy. One part of the conference will address fears and accusations of conspiracy in cases ranging from climate change to epidemics to vaccines in both contemporary and historical perspective. Another part of the conference will address the theme of ways of thinking about individual and collective agency in a context of complexity and interdependence and its relation to the idea of conspiracy and conspiracy theory.(Please see attached outline for more details).

We're particularly keen to get Cambridge post-docs involved in this conference, and we welcome participants from a variety of disciplines (we currently have people from history, anthropology, psychology, politics, and public health, among others).

If you are interested in presenting a paper at the conference, or perhaps simply being involved as a discussant, email me (Alfred Moore, am2214@cam.ac.uk) or co-organiser Nayanika Mathur (nm289@cam.ac.uk). If you wish to be considered for the final programme, please send us a short abstract by the end of March.
