Postdoc opportunity
The School
of History at St Andrews is seeking to appoint a postdoctoral researcher within
the AHRC-funded ‘Publishing the Philosophical Transactions’ Project. You will
have responsibility for that part of the project dealing with the social,
cultural and economic history of the journal from c.1950 to 2015.
The
successful candidate is likely to have experience working within the field of
history of science and/or the history of publishing, and to have prior
experience of working with archival materials and oral history. There are no
teaching duties attached to this post.

This post
is to cover a period of maternity leave and is for 10 months in the first
instance. The post-holder will be employed by St Andrews, but will work at the
Royal Society, London.
