Popular Culture Association of Australia and New Zealand (PopCAANZ) is
calling for submission of abstracts for its 7th Annual Conference, 29
June - 1 July 2016. The venue will be Sydney University Village, 90
Carillon Ave, Newtown, Sydney, Australia.
The Popular Culture
Association of Australia and New Zealand (PopCAANZ) is devoted to the
scholarly understanding of everyday cultures. It is concerned with the
study of social practices and the cultural meanings that are produced
and are circulated through the processes and practices of everyday life;
as a product of consumption, an intellectual object of inquiry, and as
an integral component of the dynamic forces that shape societies.
Academics,
professionals, cultural practitioners, and those with a scholarly
interest in depictions and representations of disability within popular
culture are invited to send a 150 word abstract and 100 word biography
to Dr Kimberley McMahon-Coleman via email (disability@popcaanz.com) by March 30, 2016.
