Postdoc fellowships 2019, Tarragona, URV

The project "Phenomenology of the Locked-in Syndrome" (see attached) seeks to support recent PhDs interested in applying to a Spanish "Juan de la Cierva" fellowship to pursue research connected to the project.
The Spanish Ministry for Economy, Industry and Competitiveness (MINECO) has announced the 2019 call for 2-year postdoctoral contracts for recent PhDs at universities and public research institutions in Spain in the framework of the highly competitive "Juan de la Cierva" program. 
Applicants must be endorsed by a Spanish institution – in the present case, the Medical Anthropology Research Center at the Rovira i Virgili University (Tarragona), http://www.marc.urv.cat/en/. We are opening a selection process to endorse outstanding candidates.
Candidates would typically have training in medical anthropology, disability studies, sociology and phenomenology of illness, neuroethics or biomedical ethics, but other backgrounds are acceptable.
The program has two modalities:
A) "Incorporation." For candidates who obtained their doctorate between 1 January 2014 and 31 December 2016. Applications will open on 15 January, deadline 29 January.
B) "Formación" (training). For candidates who obtained their doctorate between 1 January 2017 and 31 December 2018. Applications for (A) will open on 17 January, deadline 31 January.

In past years, gross annual salaries were: (A) 25,000 Euros, (B) 21,500 Euros.

2. Research project (1000-2000 words).
Candidates who receive a positive response on our part will have until January 25 to send me the following documents, which are necessary to complete the application:
1. The PDF that will be generated once the electronic application form will be completed on the official website.
2. A scanned copy of the DNI (for Spanish citizens), NIE (for foreign residents in Spain), or the passport, as well as a scanned copy of the PhD certificate or diploma.
