CALL FOR SUBMISSIONS:
The International Society for the History of Philosophy of Science, HOPOS, welcomes proposals for papers, symposia, and posters to be presented at its thirteenth biennial congress, which will take place 23 to 26 June 2020 at Lingnan University, Hong Kong.
The two keynote speakers for HOPOS 2020 are Sean Hsiang-lin Lei (Academia Sinica, Taiwan) and Christina Thomsen Thörnqvist (University of Gothenburg, Sweden).
HOPOS is devoted to promoting scholarly research on the history of the philosophy of science. We construe this subject broadly, to include topics in the history of related disciplines and in all historical periods, studied through diverse methodologies. HOPOS 2020 is thus open to scholarly work on the history of philosophy of science from any disciplinary perspective. To encourage scholarly exchange that speaks to the cultural and temporal reach of HOPOS, the HOPOS 2020 Program Committee especially encourages submissions that take up philosophical themes that cross different cultures and time periods.
The conference language is English, and guidelines for paper and symposium proposals can be found here.
