2 x Wellcome MA Studentships in History of Medicine at Newcastle, and NUAcT Postdoctoral Academic-Track Fellowships
Newcastle holds a Wellcome Master's Programme
Award for its MA in the History of Medicine
programme, and will be offering two fully funded studentships (fees +
stipend + research opportunities) for September 2020 entry. Full details
of how to apply can be found here.
Please note the upcoming deadline (April 3rd), and note that candidates need to have been
accepted on to the MA programme before we can consider their application for a studentship.
We host a growing network of medical humanities
researchers at Newcastle across the humanities, social sciences and creative arts; we
welcome expressions of interest from those wishing to pursue doctoral research
in this field, and are happy to discuss supporting applications for funding
from the Wellcome Trust to suitable candidates. We also encourage medical
humanities postdoctoral researchers to consider an application to the NUAcT Fellowship scheme
(Newcastle
University Academic-Track Fellowship) - this scheme enables early career
researchers to access a generous support package for five years to
develop a programme of research; fellows are expected to move to an
open-ended academic contract at Newcastle at the end of their
fellowship, subject to a successful review. The deadline for applications under
this scheme is March 6th.
