Book Reviews for the British Journal for the History of Science
The British Journal for the History of Science is looking for book reviewers. Reviews should be of 800-1000 words and returned within 3 months of receipt of the book. We have a large number of volumes awaiting review, topics cover the history of science, technology, medicine, and environment, as well as intellectual history. We also have some primary source collections, for example, editions of letters and sources in translation. These cover all historical papers and geographic specialisms.
Book reviewing is great practice for early career scholars
and we particularly welcome enquiries from Masters and PhD
students. Reviews are published in each issue of the journal,
and a quick publication turn around is guaranteed.
Please consult our current book list which is available
here.
Please note this is a live document and is
regularly updated with new books received. Books are crossed
out as they find reviewers. More books will be added over the
next couple of days.
If there is a volume that you are interested in reviewing
that is not on this list please email the reviews office.
All enquiries should be directed to reviews.editor@bshs.org.uk
