Call for expressions of interest for the submission of Marie Sklodowska Curie proposals in History of Science and European Integration

Daniele Cozzoli Daniele Cozzoli and Fernando Guirao, at Pompeu Fabra University in Barcelona, are interested in receiving expressions of interest from potential candidates for the Marie Sklodowska-Curie Postdoctoral fellowships' 2022 call.

Cozzoli and Guirao are willing to support candidates in their respective areas of expertise, i.e. History of Science and History of the European Integration process. They are particularly interested in candidates working on the cultural, economic, political, and scientific aspects of the various forms of post-1945 European co-operation and integration, including relations of West European countries with Eastern Europe, the Mediterranean, and the Atlantic area.

They will also have complete access to UPF’s excellent library and interlibrary loan system, to IT services, language training and cultural/sports services.


Eligibility criteria

The Marie Curie Postdoctoral Fellowships (MSCA PD) scheme is a prestigious European funding programme that supports mobility, career development, and training within and beyond Europe. The scheme offers highly competitive salary and research costs. MSCA PD involves a joint application between the researcher and the Pompeu Fabra University. The fellowship is for a postdoctoral researcher (PhD at the time of the call's deadline) who is in the first 8 years of her/his postdoctoral experience moving to Barcelona from another country.
Applicants from any country may apply, but must not have resided or carried out their main activity (work, studies, etc.) in Spain for more than 12 months in the 3 years immediately prior to the submission deadline (14/09/2022).

Selection process

Applicants should check that they fulfil all the eligibility criteria and then send an expression of interest consisting of a CV, a summary presentation of the research proposal (some 3 pages), a motivation letter (1 page) and the contact information of two referees.
Expressions of interest must be submitted by email no later than April 30, 2022 to: Daniele Cozzoli. The title of the e-mail must be "MSCA application – your name and surname".

Proposals will be preselected on the basis of internal evaluation. Candidates will be informed of the results of the preselection before May 7.
