Studies in the History of Knowledge: call for book proposals

Studies in the History of Knowledge is a book series at Amsterdam University Press, publishing monographs and edited volumes on the history of knowledge. The series has a global scope, with a preference for studies transcending disciplinary and geographical boundaries or tracing how academic and non-academics actors cooperated in the making, teaching, and circulation of knowledge.

Recently published volumes in the series include Knowledge and Culture in the Early Dutch Republic: Isaac Beeckman in Context (2022), The Humanities and the Modern Politics of Knowledge: The Impact and Organization of the Humanities in Sweden, 1850-2020 (2022), and Astronomer, Cartographer and Naturalist of the New World: The Life and Scholarly Achievements of Georg Marggrafe (1610-1643) in Colonial Dutch Brazil (2022).
