Announcement of Centre opening

I am pleased to announce that as of the 2011/2012 academic year, a new UCL Centre for the History of Medicine will commence operations. The Centre will be located within the Biological Sciences Division of the Faculty of Life Sciences. The research focus of the Centre will be the history of the neurosciences and related fields. This is an area in which UCL has in the past been a world leader and which remains central to its current mission. The Centre will be based for administrative purposes in the Medical Sciences Building situated on UCL’s Gower Street campus. Both the Intercalated BSc in the History of Medicine and the MA in the History of Medicine will continue to be taught.
