Summer University Course on History of Mathematics
From July 30 to August 17, 2012 Aarhus University in Denmark hosts an international summer course on the history of mathematics. The course will focus on asking and answering research questions in the history of mathematics and is aimed at masters students and PhD students. The course is designed for 5 ECTS credits.
You can enroll in the course if you have a bachelor’s degree in mathematics or a similar background in history of mathematics. Please contact the Aarhus University Summer School staff for help in finding out whether you are eligible for the an exchange student tuition waver. Application deadline is March 15, 2012.
The course is offered within the Aarhus Summer University programme which provides accomodation and a social programme for international students attending the course.
The lecturers will include Tinne Hoff Kjeldsen (Roskilde) and Henrik Kragh Sørensen (Aarhus). The course will be taught in English.
