PAUL BUNGE PRIZE - HISTORY OF SCIENTIFIC INSTRUMENTS - 2013


The German Chemical Society (Gesellschaft Deutscher Chemiker) extends an invitation for international applications for the Paul Bunge Prize 2013, awarded by the Hans R. Jenemann Foundation, which is administered by the German Chemical Society (Gesellschaft Deutscher Chemiker) and the German Bunsen Society for Physical Chemistry (Deutsche Bunsen-Gesellschaft für Physikalische Chemie). The prize is endowed with 7.500,- Euro and honours outstanding publications in German, English or French in all fields of the history of scientific instruments. The prize is named after Paul Bunge, the most important maker of analytical, assay and high-performance precision balances in the second half of the 19th century.

The award ceremony will take place in March 2013 on the occasion of the conference of the History of Chemistry Division of the German Chemical Society at Heidelberg.

Applications should include a curriculum vitae and a complete list of publications; the work(s) to be considered for the prize should be submitted in printed form. Nominations and applications must arrive by 30 September2012 at the very latest at:
