Prints and ephemera: 2 short-term posts at MHS Oxford
Researcher-Cataloguer (2 posts)
Museum of the History of Science, Broad Street, Oxford
Grade 6: £26,264 - £31,331 p.a.
The Museum of the History of Science is one of four
Oxford University Museums. It is a department of the university with a role in
research and teaching, and it also runs an exciting and busy public access
programme. The Museum has received funding through Arts Council England's
Designation Development Fund for a project on "Making Prints Public".
This will catalogue, digitise and make available online the Museum's small but
wide-ranging collection of prints and printed ephemera.
We are looking for two researcher-cataloguers with
experience of cataloguing and researching in a museum, library or archive, who
ideally also have familiarity with creating content for online delivery.
Successful candidates will be careful in their handling and description of rare
material, and able to work well in a small team.
The posts are full-time and will run until 20 December
2013.
The closing date for applications is 12.00 noon on 10
July 2013. You will be required to upload a CV and a supporting statement as
part of your online application. Interviews are expected to be held on 19 July
2013.
