2 AHRC PhD studentships in 19th-Century Literature and/or History of Science
Two full-time PhD studentships in Nineteenth-Century
Literature and/or History of Science are available on the AHRC ‘Science in
Culture’ project ’Constructing Scientific Communities: Citizen Science in the
19th and 21st Centuries’, one based at the University of Leicester and the
other at Oxford University .
Both studentships begin in October 2014.
The Leicester studentship will be supervised by Dr Gowan
Dawson, and will involve working with the periodicals collections of the
Natural History Museum.
The Oxford studentship will be supervised by Professor
Sally Shuttleworth, and will involve working with the periodicals collections
of the Hunterian Museum at the Royal College of Surgeons.
