XVII SIMPOSIO SEHM Santiago de Compostela, 9 Y 10 DE NOVIEMBRE de 2012 La universidad española, como la sociedad en su conjunto, vive momentos convulsos. Desde fechas aún muy próximas intenta desarrollar un proyecto (el Espacio Europeo de Educación Superior) que, dejando a un lado las opiniones contrarias de diversos sectores en él implicados, exige un esfuerzo considerable en todas las dimensiones, y no en último término, en la económica. Precisamente este aspecto incide de manera dramáticamente negativa en el proyecto, dada la situación de crisis global que afecta de modo muy agudo a nuestro país. Desde su planteamiento en los años 90 del pasado siglo el llamado “Plan Bolonia” motivó abundantes críticas, muchas de ellas procedentes del campo de las humanidades. Apenas es preciso insistir en ello, pues han sido objeto de debate en foros profesionales y públicos.
