Florence and Science - The Invention of the World: Six Lectures on History and
Science

As part of the initiative "Firenze Scienza", the Comune di Firenze promotes its
annual successful series called "Lezioni di Storia" (History Lessons) from
March 21 to May 9, 2010. Conceived and organized by Editori Laterza, these
six 'lectiones magistrales' will be held by leading scholars and cover facts
and events ranging from science to philosophy, literature, engineering and
geography.
A limited number of seats will be reserved for Firenze Scienza Card holders,
which is the ticket valid for the four different exhibitions hosted at the
Museum of the History of Science, the Natural History Museum's Zoological
Section, Palazzo Medici Riccardi and the Physics Cabinet of the Science and
Technology Foundation.
The lesson scheduled for April 11 will be held by Professor Galluzzi, the IMSS
director, and will be entitled "Lo sguardo del genio: Leonardo e la fiamma
della candela" (The Observations of a Genius: Leonardo and the Candle's Flame).
