Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität (LMU) München is one of the leading research universities in Europe, with a more than 500-year-long tradition. As part of the “LMU Academic Career Program”, LMU Munich will award

10 Research Fellowships


to excellent junior academics. Applications are welcome from all candidates who have completed their doctoral studies within the last three years with outstanding results.
Applicants must present an independent research project as part of their application. The project must be supported by a professor of LMU Munich. The fellows will become members of the Young Center of the Center for Advanced Studies and be able to make use of its services.


Endowment

Research fellows will receive an attractive salary according to the German "Tarifvertrag der Länder (TV-L)" (typically TV-L grade E 14). Applicants may apply for an additional start-up funding up to the amount of €25,000 as well as for material and travel expenses of up to
€10,000 per year. In the first two years after the completion of their research fellowship, the fellows may be granted up to €5,000 for continuing cooperation with LMU Munich. The fellowships are tenable for two years.
