International Visiting Fellowship in HPS at Leeds


$2,000 Academic Mobility funding for International Researcher in History and Philosophy of Science to visit Leeds.

The Centre for History and Philosophy of Science (HPS) at the University of Leeds would like to invite applications for an international postdoctoral or early career researcher to work with us in Leeds, for a period of 4 to 12 weeks, at a time to be decided by mutual arrangement during one or other of the academic sessions of 2019 (28 January – 7 June; 25 September – 13 December).

Thanks to a generous donation, we are offering an honorarium of US$2,000.

The successful applicant would:
•       Be currently based outside the UK
•       Ideally, either (a) be involved in research aligned with the staff and students in the Centre for HPS, or (b) present a plan for making innovative use of the University’s archival and object collections in the history of science
•       Be willing to give a public lecture in the course of their visit

The public lecture will be followed by a reception and dinner.
