 The School of Philosophy, Religion and History of Science at the University of Leeds invites applications for research postgraduate study commencing 2021/22. 

 

About Us 

 

With around ninety current research postgraduates, and over seventy academic staff (many of whom offer PhD supervision), the School is a friendly and vibrant academic community, and has an impressive international reputation in each of its constituent fields.   

 

Research is focused within and between six highly active research centres:  

 

* Aesthetic, Moral, and Political Philosophy 
* History and Philosophy of Science 
* Inter-Disciplinary Ethics Applied 
* Metaphysics and Mind 
* Philosophy of Religion 
* Religion and Public Life

Funding

Please note that several of the funding application deadlines fall in January.  In particular, the White Rose College of the Arts & Humanities (which will be offering at least 48 PhD studentships starting in October 2021 at Leeds, Sheffield, and York, through the Arts and Humanities Research Council (AHRC) Doctoral Training Partnerships (DTP2) scheme) has a closing deadline for the open competition of 17:00 GMT on Wednesday 27 January 2021https://wrocah.ac.uk/funding/prospective-students/.
