MSCA post-doc fellowships in Philosophy of Science at the University of Turin: Call for Expressions of Interest

The research group in Logic and Philosophy of Science at the University of Turin encourages young and promising researchers to present expressions of interest to apply jointly with the Department of Philosophy and Education Sciences at the University of Turin for a Marie Skłodowska-Curie Individual Fellowship.

The Department of Philosophy and Education Sciences in Turin is a vibrant and dynamic intellectual community, among the leading departments for philosophy in Italy, and ranked 45 in the World according to the last QS Universities Ranking. The Department comprises roughly 90 permanent academic research staff in addition to numerous PhD students and postdoctoral researchers. It is currently hosting 4 successful MSCA applications and 3 MSCA Seals of Excellence.

The Logic and Philosophy of Science research group is part of the Center for Logic, Language, and Cognition (LLC), a joint initiative of the Departments of Philosophy and Education, Psychology, and Computer Science, which aims at promoting scientific progress by fostering constructive interactions among researchers with different backgrounds. The center hosts a wide variety of research activities, seminars, and events with leading philosophers of science from all over the world.

We welcome expressions of interest in the following research areas:

-        Formal epistemology and philosophy of science

-        Logic

-        Scientometrics and quantitative studies of science

-        A detailed CV including a list of publications

-        A one-page outline of the research proposal with the indication of possible supervisors from the Logic and Philosophy of Science research group
