CfP: Scientiae 2025 Annual Conference
The Scientiae 2025 Annual Conference will take place from 16 to 19 September 2025 in Istanbul, Türkiye, hosted by the Department of the History of Science at Istanbul University.
This year’s conference, situated at the intersection of Europe and Asia, will focus on global connections, with particular attention to the early modern period (1400–1800). Since its founding in 2012, Scientiae has contributed to a growing global perspective in the study of early modern science, literature, and scholarship. The 2025 conference aims to highlight interdisciplinary approaches and the interconnectedness of regions, periods, cultures, and material and intellectual traditions.
Proposals are invited for individual papers, organised panels, roundtables, and workshops on topics related to the period 1400–1800.
The submission deadline is 1 March 2025.
