National Library of Medicine Announces Latest Release of Its "History of Medicine Finding Aids Consortium" Search-and-Discovery Tool Now Indexes over 3,600 Finding Aids from 35 Institutions The History of Medicine Division of the National Library of Medicine (NLM), the world's largest medical library and a component of the National Institutes of Health, is pleased to announce the latest release of its History of Medicine Finding Aids Consortium ( http://www.nlm.nih.gov/hmd/consortium/index.html ). The Consortium now indexes over 3,600 finding aids from 35 institutions. The consortium supports a search-and-discovery tool for archival resources in the health sciences that are described by finding aids and held by various institutions throughout the United States (and one Canadian). Papers in all areas of history and philosophy of science, technology and medicine are welcome.
